Anyone know a door bell from banggood that works with the Sonoff bridge, preferably a plug in receiver.

Yes I couldn't get any of mine to work either. What's the V7 that Tony Hales mentioned above? It's a doorbell that works with the LiveHome app not sure if I can post a link herewidely available from the Chinese suppliers. It works fine for me apart from the motion sensor which I don't needas I have a tree in front of it, but would be better if it worked with eWelink. Just Google V7 Doorbell and you will find it.

From there the board appeared on my network. I then tried an Itead water detector and a door sensor the Sonoff door sensor is limited to OPEN detection only — see further down for a link to one that handles open and close. There are limits as to how far one could expand the the types of sensors using the iTead RF software — the RF Bridge should be able to support a wide variety of remotes and sensors.
This should greatly extend the number of devices the Bridge will talk to and also allow the bridge to SEND commands itself. On the R2 RF-Bridge board, assuming you can muster up 3v3 without using the usb connector — no link cuts are needed follow instructions on the Tasmota site.
The RF-Bridge Tasmota software will continue to function as before but now will accept new RAW data if you need that a setting in Tasmota needs changing to use RAW data — a Tasmota rule lets you set that mode permanently.
I have found that in my very wide single-storey house, I need a pair of RF Bridges to cover the entire house from door to door. Still — cheap. I figure two of these RF Bridges will do, as, from my house to the home office comprises several inches of solid stone wall and there have been no major miracles in RF technology recently.
All of the Itead sensors work across from my office to the house no problem but I did find that the Itead door sensor detects opening only and so I bought door sensors from AliExpress. To turn it on in the Tasmota console is easy….

I have one of the R1 version of the bridge Can this detect any MHz? I guess easy way to find out is to load up the firmware and give it a go. I would appreciate your opinion on using mhz and the bridge as the main receiver for door and window sensors for a security system.
I used the door sensors recommended by Dr Zzzs.
They offer a different message when the sensor is opened and closed. Also seem to be less hack resistant. Push rf code raw to nodered via mqtt publish rule in tasmota. Have nodered handle toggling or doing whatever action. Infinite scale. I have two original, which one I loaded Tasmota over a year ago.

I have uploaded tasmota to mine and it works well with wireless magnetic sensors, mHz doorbell and wireless PIR sensors.Our son of 2 takes afternoon naps. Because of that we pull the doorbell plug every time we expect someone to come to the door. So I kept looking for wireless solutions, connected solution, etc that could be incoorperated into openHAB. Sofar I had not really find one. And from the discussions on the openHAB forum, I was not the only one looking for such a solution.

I am now testing out if this removes the false positives. Strange thing is, my setup worked ok for a few hours and then it suddenly started toggling every now and then. I will let you know if this is my final solution.

This project involved a modification so i thought it different than normal and thought i would share it. My need was for a simple to add device that would integrate with my home automation system and would allow control of my garage door with out having to run additional wires to or from the ceiling unit or wall button.
After tracing the Sonoff circuit board I found this wouldn't be that hard with one of these cheap devices with a simple modification. The Sonoff units take mains power at one end and delivers switched mains power at the other, internally they have a small transformer to run the ESP device and a 10amp relay to switch the power.
My garage door like most has a low voltage pair of connectors that run to a button on the wall and when connected with a button press opens or closes the door, this is what i needed to make the Sonoff do.

A small cut using a dremel or hack saw is cut down the side of the relay disconnecting the relay from the mains power for both phase and neutral. Then a small run of solder is completed across the two points making the relay just close the end contracts. At this point you should be sure to test this and confirm there is no connection between the mains and the non mains ends. If you don't test this or check this you could still be passing mains down to device which could cause damage or worse give you a big shock.

There is a lot of information on line on doing this and dont worry if you flash it and it doesn't seem to work the first time as its very hard to break the device here as you can always reflash the device again and again to get it working.
I have found the process to be very easy and reliable. EasyESP is a great image to deploy, i use to write code for these nodemcu devices and spent hours doing this where i found using this image needed no coding skills at all and was all just configured in the web interface. Next I purchase a small case and gland for the power cable plus a magnetic contact to detect when the door is open or closed. A 8mm hole was drilled in the end of the case which was a perfect size for the contacts metal cable end to fit snugly.
I then soldered the two wires on the end two connections on the header holes. These are ground and GPIO14 pins which is where the unit was flashed earlier. At this point i have also drilled a second hole for the relay contact wire to connect to the relay terminals and also installed a gland for the incoming power supply.
Once you have completed this you can configure it. There are only a few places you need to configure the unit to enable this. Setup the devices the same as the images show and setup the rules as below as this is the part that presses the button for 1 second and also sends the MQTT so my home automation knows when the door is open or closed.
